The "Uh-Oh" Moment

You might have noticed if you've followed the blog for a little while, we have no children, but we do have a cat.  THE cat.  Ozzy.  Up until this summer, I think that Ozzy truly believed he was the Only Cat in the World.  He's an indoor cat, and even when other cats would wander into the yard, he would pretend not to see them.

But when we put the house on the market, Ozzy couldn't stay at the house during open houses, in case people were allergic, and because he demands all the attention from any human in his vicinity.  So we put on his outdoor exploring gear, a.k.a. a leash and harness -- yes, we are THOSE people!-- and plopped him in the car for a little ride.  A 14 lb. cat is hard to get into a carrier, so the harness is easier.  We made a stop by my office, and when we did, the cat that hangs out there made an appearance.  Well, Ozzy found out quick that he was NOT the only kitty, and I think the look on his face in these pictures is priceless!

Digging through the stash

Aw, come on, admit it.  If you are a scrapbooker, more than likely you have a stash, with paper and embellishements that go WAYYY back.  You are not alone.  With this layout (yes, another one featuring the Cat), I dug into my stash and used some old old papers.  Just because they are a few years old, doesn't mean they aren't still beautiful!  I challenge you to dig into your stash and use some of that old stuff.  It feels really good!

Cute Kitten
I love the light feel of this layout.  Because I used a lot of older papers and scraps, I don't have all the names of the patterned papers.  Sorry about that.

Mystic Aquarium

Another from my long-ago trip to Mystic, CT.  So long, in fact, you’ll notice there is no date on the date sticker.  I don’t remember when exactly I went.  So long ago, I was still shooting film.
Mystic has a great aquarium.  Lots of marine mammals there, including beluga whales.

The date will get filled in.  It’s been so long ago I went there I forgot when it was!

A Little Over the Top

I think maybe I have a little too much going on in this one, but at the same time I wanted to capture the whimsical feel of the pictures.

I got the music in me

Often I’m inspired by music lyrics for my pages or my titles.  I love this song from the Dave Matthews Band and thought it would be a great layout for a photo of Mark and me.

A Disney Milestone

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a Disney World fiend.  During one of our last trips, I realized I’ve celebrated quite the Mouse-aversary – I’ve been going for nearly my entire 35 years!  I know I’ve been lucky all my life, because even as a kid none of my friends went to WDW, even though its within driving distance.
WDW is a magical place, even for adults, and I’m looking forward to 35 more years of visits.
